Sleepless nights of guilt and shame.
No one else is here to blame.
It's all my fault, will he come back.
He left my heart an empty shack.
My heart was beating,
My pulse was racing.
This empty world he left me facing.
My eyes would spill out, over the rim
Every time I thought of him.
I hear tick-tocking of the clock.
I try try to sleep in the room's pitch dark.
when I fall sleep he's all I dream.
One more dream and I will scream.
That's it, it's over.
My life is through.
Your coming back is the only clue.

This was sent to me by a very, very dear friend. Someone who thought I would think it was dumb. Well if she is to every read this. It is one of the few treasures I have, something of real value to me and has been since I received in a lonely time during my Navy training days of 1989-90.
