the
winter’s wind howls outside this old shack
the
cold seeping inside
it
chills my bones
i
can feel the numbness crawling up into my soul
time
has a way of catching up to you
time
has a way of revealing the cracks that were invisible
i
never saw the distance being reached
i
never knew of the sadness in you heart
i
never realized how much i still have to learn
until
it all disappeared and walked out on me.
i
think back to the memories
i
think back to the ignorant bliss i was experiencing
and
the anguish you were feeling at the same time
i
shouldve seen and i shouldve heard
but
i didnt see and i didnt hear
your
cries and your distress
now
that you are gone
i
know now the wrongs i committed against you
and
i now comfort myself knowing that things will be
better
when you forget me and start over.
solitude
is always a friend of mine
i
have seen faces come and go
so
called friends leave without a trace
i
lay here a broken man
lost
and turned upside down
stranded
inside the labyrinth within my own vermiculated thoughts
but
i know what i must do
and
time will heal these scars
my
memories are my sustenance
i
feed off their warmth and the serenity it offers
nothing
lasts forever
not
even pain.
love
is a delicate emotion
strong
as a mountain
and
fragile like glass
in
the hands of the wicked
a
dangerous weapon
in
the hands of the just
the
most beautiful thing on the earth
and
in the hands of the careless
an
intense pain that never goes away.
gather
my things and go
i
see the horizon
and
await for the paradise that i hear so much about
as
i scribble in the sky
and
float on the clouds
always
remembering
waiting
for my wings
waiting
for my chance to fly again
waiting
for.......someone to show me
to
show me a way out.
“give
me life”
“give
me pain”
“give
me myself again”
